France Telecom to Cut 14,500 Jobs

PARIS (AP) - Telecommunications behemoth France Telecom will cut some 14,500 jobs worldwide this year, largely through early retirement, the company said Monday.

1. The French are better suited to early retirement
than workers in the US.. At least they can be assured of an old age pension and health care.. If those two things are taken care of and you have your home paid for or have cheap rent, you will probably be ok..

Not so here..:(
