New alleged Saddam tape broadcast
Agence France-Presse

A new tape attributed to the former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein has been broadcast by a Lebanese television station, calling on Iraqis to unite and throw out the occupying US-led coalition from their country.

The voice on the tape has not been immediately verified.

The speaker tells Arabs, Kurds, Turkmens, Shi'ites, Sunnis, Muslims and Christians that their principal mission is to unite, and throw out the coalition invaders.

The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International has attributed the tape to Saddam, saying it had been left in an envelope outside the channel's office in Baghdad. ---
