Idaho State Democratic Chair Keith Roark, who is a superdelegate to the Democratic convention, announced today he will vote for Senator Barack Obama.

“The unprecedented enthusiasm Senator Obama has generated here in Idaho is unlike anything I have seen in my 31 years of active political participation in this State...

All four of Idaho’s superdelegates now support Obama.

1. Talking heads will explode

I think Election Day 2008 is going to be like the last scene in 'Mars Attacks'. When the results start coming in, all the talking heads are going to explode when they see how Obama's campaign strategy has changed the country. When you combine Dubya's torpedoing of the Republicans with Obama opening up new sources of enthusiasm, there is going to be a great realigning in the country.

I look forward most of all to seeing Russert's jack-o-lantern like visage break apart into a thousand flying pieces. :applause:

3. Democrats in Idaho are a tiny minority in the state house

I don't want to burst you bubble but Idaho is one of the most backward Republican states - There are only a few democrats. They have no power and are likely to have no effect on any legislation.

I do hope Obama is doing as well as you say. I hope he gets elected. But Idaho Idaho a waste of time - I've been here 20 years and it is hell for progressives.

I went to the democratic committee in Lewiston and it was hard to find anyone there. The room was bare bones - Speakers don't even show up because no Democrats are there. Well maybe 5 or 6.

This is a good state to leave - not much good for anything else. Do i sound Bitter? Sorry I am very bitter and angry and demoralized.
