White House: Bush's ("appeasement") comment not directed at Obama
Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House says the comment wasn't directed at him, but Barack Obama is taking exception to it just the same.

In a speech to Israel's parliament today, President Bush said, "Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong."

In a statement, the Democratic presidential candidate called the remarks a "false political attack"and an "extraordinary politicization of foreign policy."

But White House press secretary Dana Perino tells reporters in Israel that Bush's comments were not a reference to Obama. She added that "there are many who suggested these types of negotiations." Perino says it's understandable to think "the world revolves around you" when running for office, but that's "not always true."

2. Anyone who does not know by now that bush is a habitual liar
will never be convinced of anything that is actual good foreign policy and should be discounted as having no moral or intellectual value.

3. Then who was Commander Bunnypants talking about?
Or is he too much of a wuss to call people out by name? He sure likes to talk tough thousands of miles away, but he seems a bit less pusillanimous when his targets are a little closer. And paying attention.

So, who was Stupidhead talking about, Dana? You say it wasn't Obama; who was it?

13. Well, it says it right there.
"Some people." How can that be taken as talking about Obama? "Some people." "Obama." They're not even spelled the same.

20. Some means more than one...
and he was referring to democrats.. I will grant that Carter may be one of those, but who else? Clinton (nope.. she is in favor of obliterating Iran). Who else COULD it be besides Obama? There's this little thing called inference, and I guess some people on this thread didn't learn that in grade school.

5. Define "some" and "many"
if the press rolls with this crap, they are utterly worthless.
Any competent reporter should be blowing holes in Bush's bullshit right and left.

7. From the USA Today article this morning (what anonymous White House aides are saying):
Edited on Thu May-15-08 10:37 AM by paxmusa
"Bush didn't explicitly criticize Sen. Barack Obama, but CNN says anonymous White House aides "are acknowledging" that the president was referring to the Democratic presidential hopeful, who has said he would be willing to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad."

8. How can she say that with a straight face? When will the MSM finally focus on Prescott Bush's Nazi
ties?

This is the perfect opportunity. Dubya opened the barn door, and it's time to bring in the camera crews to show the American people how unclean the Bush family really is.
