San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzalez just had a stroke (TV news only - no link yet) |
|
...in the middle of his State of the City speech tonight. At first they said he just got "sick," and now a news conference with doctors (just finished a minute ago) confirms he had a "mild stroke."
That's it. Not on the newswires yet.

1. Isn't that like the plot of the movie, "Dave"? |

I hope it wasn't serious.

2. Well, they said 'mild,' and his speech wasn't slurred... |
|
...which I guess is good, all things considered.
Creepy thing is, the news showed the clip from his speech where he just went out of it.
Is that what "Dave" was about? Never saw it!

4. Depends on where the stoke occured in the brain |
|
It wouldn't necessarily affect speech.
In the movie Dave, the president has a stroke, his handlers replace him with a look-alike. I don't want to spoil it, so I won't say more except that I really liked it and think it's worth renting on a rainy/snowy afternoon.
