Mississippi casinos got items meant for Katrina victims
Source: CNN

The agency that regulates Mississippi's casinos got pillows, stoves, dinnerware and other items that were originally meant for Hurricane Katrina victims, according to state records obtained by CNN.

The Mississippi Gaming Commission was among 11 state agencies that received the household items from the state's surplus agency.

A breakdown of what each agency received shows the commission took a coffee maker, a case of pillows, wash kits, two dual-burner stoves, plates and utensils, two cases of hand sanitizers and 20 five-gallon containers.

Larry Gregory, executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission, could not be reached for comment. But an aide, Becky Clark, said the agency is keeping the items "in case of another hurricane."

The Mississippi Department of Corrections also got 20 coffee makers, 15 tents, four cases of pillows, five cases of men's underwear and other supplies.

2. quite a misleading headline on the OP, though
"Mississippi casinos" is not at all the same thing in context as "the agency that regulates Mississippi's casinos".

A little more precision on the teaser headlines would be greatly appreciated next time.

And it looks like CNN caught the error; it now reads "Casino regulators got items meant for Katrina victims"

Not quite as sensational, eh CNN?

3. Niiiiice. Really nice!
:puke:

If nothing else that prez shit-for-brains did during his admin qualifies as inhumane treatment of people, what was done during Katrina absolutely does!
that alone should qualify him and his minions for a trial at the Hague.

7. It's one of Bush's little jokes meant to reinforce the idea that government is incompetent
Most of the moves he's made have been to directly hammer home that point. He's got a great sense of humor, that one. Nothing is as funny as the formaldahyde trailers, though, that one was tops.
