Iraq to revive oil deal with China
Source: AP

BAGHDAD - Iraq and China are set to revive a $1.2 billion oil deal that was canceled after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, the Iraq's oil ministry said Sunday.

An initial agreement with China is expected to be signed at the end of August to develop the billion-barrel Ahdab oil field south of Baghdad, the ministry said in a statement.

"Iraq and China are keen to show their cooperation by finalizing an agreement on developing the Ahdab oil field," it said.

The announcement came after a meeting between Iraqi Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani and China's ambassador to Baghdad.

2. Interesting.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the attacks in China?

1) Is the US trying to drive a wedge between the poeple of China and the ME by blowing things up in the Muslim region of China?
2) Or, is the US trying to get China on board by giving them a slice of the action?

I often wondered why we never heard the possibility that the "terrorist" were either Russian or Chinese agents.

4. China's imperial maneouvres
China's co-operation with Iraq and other middle eastern states goes far beyond oil money. Perhaps they are offering the middle east a fairer but similar deal to the one the US has given nations like Saudi Arabia - oil for protection - the usual mafia deal:

Asia is ready for a space war - China believes a confrontation in space, most likely with the United States, is inevitable, and is preparing for it.

China prepared to nuke USA since at least 2005 - Major general says Beijing prepared to use WMDs against American cities as early as 2005.

It seems that when China makes threats against the USA, the great global peacekeeper and its allies just keep shut. Whether China is calling the Dalai Lama a terrorist or talking about nuking every US city, the Americans and Europeans are obviously too scared to say one single word back - meanwhile if an Iranian leader just mentions that he's fed up of Israel's apartheid they start gearing up for an attack (which of course China played a big role in calling off).

Is this the end for the USA and the former European imperialist countries?
