State ballot problems alleged

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - County clerks all over West Virginia have been told there is a problem with the optical scan ballot to be used in this fall's election ... Early voting is scheduled to start .. on Wednesday. The problem .. causes some votes in the Supreme Court race to be tabulated incorrectly, according to County Commission President Kent Carper."There's a problem with the Supreme Court race when people vote a straight ticket," Carper said ... Someone from Secretary of State Betty Ireland's office .. said every West Virginia county that uses an optical scan ballot was being notified ...

1. Our court-based elections are being targeted by an out of state group.

I get a "Darrell McGraw is teh EVIL1!!" glossy flier every week in the mail, and recently Menis Ketchum is also being heavily targeted (I personally loathe the fliers that point out that his first name is a homonym for "menace")- the "Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse" is behind it. The CALA is actually funded by the corporate and business interests who want to make it more difficult for WV citizens to seek redress through our courts.

That we are having problems (or that they are warning of problems?) from Ireland's office is hardly surprising. She is a complete shill.
