“They were sent to carry out an audacious plot to bomb 11 US airlines over the Pacific, which the FBI estimates could have killed 4, 000people,” it said, adding that the plan was aborted after the two men’s safe house — a unit in an apartment building on Manila’s Quirino Highway — accidentally caught fire.
Mohammed has been charged in the 1995 plot to bomb or hijack 11 US-bound flights coming from Asian countries, including the Philippines. Yousef was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York.
Now tell me again, Condi, no one ever thought that someone would fly airplanes into buildings? No one could connect the dots? You didn't have to connect the dots. You had the whole damn plan on a silver platter. Google Project Bojinka, if you want to know more about what our National Security Advisor claims she couldn't have possibly have known anything about.
