Palin campaigns in Virginia, meets Israeli ambassador
Source: Houston Chronicle

LEESBURG, Va. — GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is meeting with the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. as part of a three-city tour in Virginia designed to upend Democrat Barack Obama's lead over Republican John McCain in a state that hasn't backed a Democratic White House hopeful since 1964.

Palin greeted ambassador Sallai Meridor and apologized for not being able to meet with him sooner. She told the ambassador: "We look forward to ... working with your Jewish agency."

From her first event in historic Leesburg through Fredericksburg and Salem in the conservative southwestern part of the state, Palin is trying to make McCain's closing argument that electing Obama would give Democrats control of the White House and Congress when checks and balances are most needed.

It's a tough sell for Republicans eight days out from the Nov. 4 election. Recent polls show Obama ahead in Virginia, home to the Confederate capital during the Civil War, and Democrats are on track to add to their congressional majorities.

Planet Palin is literally one of the dumbest people I've ever seen in politics.

17. Satire is truly dead when reality is stranger than fiction.
And when you reach the point where Saturday Night Live uses your own words, verbatim, as unintentional parody material, satire's corpse has been dug up and desecrated.

16. I can't decide which part of that quote is funnier/sadder
And as a side note, it's amusing that she calls for checks and balances, which is apparently only necessary in a Democratic administration.

oy.

18. Maybe she meant the Jewish Rapture Agency.
Or Jews For Jesus. Hard to tell.

BTW, I'm in Egypt, so I hereby claim I can see Israel. I'll keep a close watch for Ehud Olmert's head looming over the Sinai Desert, you betcha!

Which reminds me: not long ago, one of the dumber members of the Egyptian People's Assembly proposed an interesting new law. (The PA is roughly equivalent to the U.S. House of Representatives.)

He wanted to make it a crime to "criticize a foreign head of state." It was pretty obvious who he meant, since Bush gets a regular shellacking in all the Egyptian media. (Which is, keep in mind, strictly controlled by the government.)

One wise-ass Egyptian journalist wrote an editorial and asked: "Does this mean we are no longer allowed to criticize Ehud Olmert?"

Sarah thinks he's, like, a Jewish Pope, or something.

21. What a putz -
Could one of her handlers please tell her that since Israel became a country in 1948 there really hasn't been a Jewish agency. Or that an embassy may properly be referred to as, well, an embassy.

22. Jewish Agency
Hey, listen up. The Jewish Agency is the group formed before Israel's establishment to bring Jews to Palestine. Since then they have worked to bring Jews from the diasporra into Israel proper. Palin is speaking in code to her end times cabal. The Jews must return to Israel for the return of the messiah. She has an agenda you see, to speed up this process. These folks really think this stuff. Keep an eye on them.

I really feel sorry for Ambassador Meridor - that must have been a tough situation to avoid yelling "BITCH!"
