Web mistake costly for George W. Bush library (had to buy back domain name for $35k)
Source: The Dallas Morning News

AUSTIN – After losing a valuable piece of online real estate to enterprising cyber-squatters, the Bush presidential library has replanted its flag into that e-territory.

But the squatters – a North Carolina Web development company called Illuminati Karate – had the last laugh, making a huge profit off an embarrassing oversight by the GOP-connected company charged with overseeing the Web site for the George W. Bush Presidential Library, which will be built in Dallas.

Illuminati Karate paid less than $10 for the www.George WBushLibrary.com domain name – and sold it back for $35,000 to the library's contracted Web developers, Yuma Solutions, who had accidentally let it expire. Illuminati Karate recognized what the library obviously knew as well – that anything else, like www.GWBPresidentialLibrary .com, would have been cumbersome and less than ideal.

"It worked out very well," said George Huger, lead Web developer for Illuminati Karate in Raleigh, N.C.

2. I wouldn't have sold it at any price.
I would have kept it and set up a site devoted to telling the truth.

17. I disagree
I noticed that Nixon was in the news this week, something about some new recordings that were finally released to the public.

From what I've seen Presidential libraries have been a treasure trove of information in the past half century. Maybe the new GWB library will be the same? Perhaps it finally reveal him to be the corrupt and unintelligent poser we have suspected?

Anyway, we are on the same wavelength, I think.

9. Chimpster - is that the library for the 'caption this' photos and the

database of bushisms - and the statistics on the dead, maimed, immunity impaired, mind impaied, sight and hearimg impaired, career, family, spiritualbeing impaired - soldiers, I mean. And Iraqis, I mean.

Is that where they keep the statistics on missing monies from HUD, DOD, other government money and missing technologies traded on the nuclear and other weapons market, profits of the oil companies, losses of lost pensions and retirement funds by Enron and similar outstanding corporations.

Is that where they keep secret numbers and results of torture and how much they paid to the countries for the prisons and torturers.

Is that where they keep the graft figures and how they divvied up the profits on embroidered towels?

Is that where they keep the second by second methods they used in four stolen elections of the first nine years of the 21st century? And the analysis of how they did it?

Is that where the plans and flow charts are for hot to build and use a database on the citizens?

Chimpster Library. Good one. I would go to that Library, then get an hour long shower and some healing to heal by soul.

5. DC insiders usually only think of online users as an after thought
Doesn't surprise me one bit that they waited so long to getting around to seeing about setting up a website domain.

6. Nice to see Monkey Boy's team take one in the shorts, but...
...cyber-squatters suck ass. They are the bottom feeders of the Web community.

If the same thing happened to the www.BarackHObamaLibrary.com Web Site development team, we'd be calling George Huger, lead Web developer for Illuminati Karate in Raleigh, N.C., a thug and an arrogant punk, which is what he is, instead of high-fiving him.

"Worked out very well" my ass. BOTTOM FEEDER.

8. Channeling Redd Foxx...
Upon reading that the library's website is being developed by Yuma Solutions, I couldn't help but recall an old Redd Foxx routine about how Yuma, Arizona got it's name. And it's deliciously appropriate.

24. Ooo, not immediately!
It was a track on one of his "records" (remember those?), vinyl, LP. Anyway, I won't do Mr. Foxx the disservice of mangling any lines that rely on a certain style of delivery. When I have time, I'll try to do an internet search. Guess I was hoping some Foxx afficionado would have the info at hand.

10. Idiots. The Bush Library people should have sent out thugs to break their fingers.
Then Bush could have pardoned the Library people and the thugs..

Many would happily volunteer to take out a couple of cyber-squatters, and they'd do it for free.
