According to the NGO, the proportions of applicants interrogated at the Erez crossing to northern Gaza rose from 1.45% in January 2008 to 17% in January 2009.

Physicians for Human Rights-Israel is one of at least eight NGOs that have submitted testimony to the UN Committee Against Torture, which this week is reviewing Israel's record.

1. I wish they'd add the Democratic Republic of the Congo
to that list, as well as the U.S., Uganda and Iraq.

2. Why not look for the info before you post? There's a universal review schedule,
which you can access from the Council website. Congo's on the schedule this year; Iran and the US are next year; Uganda's 2011

4. Because the link was in response to your post, which you had not yet posted
when I posted the OP

Perhaps if you had been thoughtful enough post your responses to my posts, before I post, rather than after, I could have considered addressing your responses to my OPs in the OPs themselves -- rather than providing them as responses to your responses to my OPs, since you apparently find such responses to responses somehow reprehensible
