Bush vows more jobs to woo black votes
PITTSBURGH (Reuters)

US President George W Bush, seeking yesterday to boost his dismal support among black voters, vowed to keep fighting unemployment that has hit their ranks much harder than it has whites. ---

One of the Democrats, former Vermont Gov Howard Dean, told Reuters after Bush’s appearance: “This president has turned his back on African Americans. Under this president, 650,000 African Americans have lost their jobs.”

The black unemployment rate is nearly double the national rate, according to the most recent government figures. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the unemployment rate for blacks rose to 11.8 percent in June 2003, up from 8.4 per cent in January 2001, when Bush was sworn in. The US unemployment rate was 6.4 per cent in June.

“This nation has got work to do. There are citizens who can’t find jobs,” Bush said.

he thinks they want to hear with no intention of doing what he says.

“This nation has got work to do. There are citizens who can’t find jobs,” Bush said.

Guess we all better start shopping. That's what we do when we're in dire need, ya know!

11. That is what your "up to $400 tax advance was for"
The most job losses have been by the ethnic minorities. He is making inroads with the Hispanic community though. He has a 47% approval rating witht the CA hispanic community. That right there is 3% of the U.S. population, 25% of the CA population. This is who he is targeting in his campaign, photo-ops.

No shit sherlock!! Bush, you're a fucking genius. Why don't you pursue policies that increase demand? Why don't you increase the minimum wage? Why don't you invest more in education and job training? Why don't you stop with the tax cuts for billionaires that drained the treasury and put us in a fiscal crisis? Why don't you stop being completely retarded?
