CNN Scoop: Cash, condom, Viagra found in Uday's briefcase

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/07/28/sprj.irq.uday.briefcase/index.html

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. troops sifting through the wreckage of the house in Mosul where Saddam Hussein's two sons were killed found Uday Hussein's briefcase, which contained $400,000 in U.S. currency and 30 million Iraqi dinars, or about $21,400.

Uday's briefcase also contained Viagra, a condom, packaged underwear, shirts, cologne and a "tacky tie," according to a government source familiar with the inventory.

3. That confirms it, MUST have been Uday then
No more skepticism from me, no siree.... uh uh... Uday it was

Unless, do you think they may have used morticians putty to 'reconstruct'

the whole briefcase and contents to resemble as closely as possible

Uday's briefcase?

5. BTW - This tidbit later in the article is interesting too
"Saddam is changing his location every two to four hours, officials said. DNA samples will be taken from three farmhouses U.S. troops raided Sunday in Tikrit to determine whether Saddam had been there, they said."

Come on! If he were moving around that much, they would've caught him by now. I can't imagine he would stay in the country where there just happen to be 150K+ US soldiers.

9. saddam could be sitting right in front of them in those normal
everyday flowing-robe-outfits...

or, he's sitting in a hotel in paris, where people know how to be discrete about their guests activities...which is also where osama is...or maybe in a carribean resort, or on a cruise ship...

saddam could even just be a "media creation", like bush*...

27. nah ...
Osama and Saddam are both on ice somewhere ... maybe on life support in the White House basement, like in the movie "Dave." They will both be produced before the public in October 2004, right before the new computerized voting machines are being set up to steal yet another national election for the Repuggies.

What's the big deal?

And who will bring the "tacky tie, bottle of Viagra and the condom home as a "War Trophy?"

Or, are these items already "up for sale" on E-Bay!

7. What was in the 14 year old boy's pockets?
A fourth occupant, believed to be Qusay’s 14-year-old son Mustafa, apparently survived the missile strikes and shot at the entering troops before he was gunned down, officials said.

http://www.msnbc.com/news/943393.asp?0cv=CA00

Uday, Qusay, Mustafa, 14, and a bodyguard were armed with AK-47 rifles and had barricaded themselves in on the second floor.

33. Did the 14 year old have the key to the brief case in his pocket?
On the other hand, perhaps Qusay thought Viagra to be considered a universal currency, something that could be spent where US dollars or Iraqi notes were not accepted.

BTW, doesn't this all seem a really an odd combination for a guy on the run?....and isn't that a LOT of stuff to fit in a briefcase? I have trouble getting ONE shirt into my briefcase, let alone $400,000 in US Money...and why carry your stuff in a briefcase when you're on the run...wouldn't he want to opt for a container that allowed his hands to be free for shooting ??? This is shameful for CNN to be writing such garbage...

35. Do you have any links
to articles that confirm he was partially paralyzed? I have looked and could not find any.

I am trying to imagine him in a chair, in a shoot out. How could he wheel and shoot at the same time? Did he shoot, then place his gun in his lap, then wheel some more, then take his gun out of his lap and shoot again? lol Man, that was one skilled crip!

Just who in hell is writing these scripts?

43. The script-writers of old Ironsides episodes dreamed it all up.
Their original script had to be toned down by the top brass, with Colon Powell editing out the following scenes:

The original storyline had our intelligence not using the informer, but instead had our troops, while out on 'rat' patrol, spotting the crippled brother's wheelchair tracks in the sand, and followed the path to the secret hideout.

After the shootout, a partially demoloshed armored wheelchair, (built by the army corps of engineers), was to be planted in the rubble.

The 'sexed up' wheelchair had been equipted with RPG launchers mounted on pylons over the wheels of each side, and oddly, had a leather pouch located just above the left wheel, filled with Viagra, and a pouch on the right, filled with condoms,(extra large size).

In the front of the wheelchair, there was a hydrolic stainless steel dildo-battering-ram, and for some reason, the hubs of the chair's large spooked wheels were also equipped with rotating spikes that came out of the axils just like in that old Ben Hur movie's chariot race scene.

44. $400,000
I did some research,

$400,000 comes out to be a 2 foot stack of 100 dollar bills. Weighing in at about 20lbs.

I am not sure about the denominations of the iraqi currency but this whole think smells like propaganda to me.

45. BBC says they had $100 Million
Saddam Hussein's two sons had about $100m in Iraqi dinars and US dollars with them when they were killed by American forces in northern Iraq, according to a report...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3105129.stm">http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3105129.stm

So they were traveling with 5000 lbs of currency! That's more than a pallet full of bills (65 x 48 x 65). Hope the forklift they were using to drive it around didn't get damaged. We could use it for the reconstruction effort...

How can they print stuff like this?

Really, I don't need to know one other thing! I'm convinced. He was a pig and deserved to die just for the contents of that briefcase.

Enough with the goddamn purient sex stuff on these guys. We have gone way past you convincing Mr and Mrs America that these were bad men and perverts into (no pun intended) overkill. For god's sake, give it a rest CNN/Fox/USAToday and all the rest of you "journalists" you are becoming parodies of your former selves at too high a rate for us mere mortals to keep up with.

HEY CNN:
When you tell me what was in GW Bush*'s 1972 bachelor apartment that helped him "avoid" military physicals and drug tests AND suddenly do community service for a short time, then I'll be interested in what dead non-American nationals have in their wallets, bedrooms and briefcases.

38. Product Placement.
The Drug Companies are always looking for new ways to advertise their products. So Pfizer slips the BFEE boys a few bucks for the election kitty in return for claiming Viagra was found on Uday. The media then mentions it ad naseum. It's great product placement.

bet that the Pfizer sales rep gets a bonus for being alert to that marketing oportunity....Pfizer likely gives Viagra FREE to all the CIA guys, in exchange for such product placement in all their big sons-of-world-leaders presidentially-ordered political assassinations...the CIA guys also get those slick sunglasses for free....so you can identify them in a crowd...
