Cheney hopes CIA director was misquoted
By Reid Wilson
Posted: 06/15/09 12:27 PM

Vice President Dick Cheney on Monday hit back at CIA Director Leon Panetta, over his suggestion that Cheney wants another terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

"I hope my old friend Leon was misquoted," said Cheney in a statement provided to The Hill. "The important thing is whether or not the Obama administration will continue the policies that have kept us safe for the last eight years."

Panetta, a veteran politician who served as Bill Clinton's chief of staff, had criticized Cheney for "gallows politics" and said the former vice president hoped the country were subject to another terrorist attack.

"I think he smells some blood in the water on the national-security issue," Panetta told The New Yorker's Jane Mayer. "It’s almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it’s almost as if he’s wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point. I think that’s dangerous politics."

3. Keeping us safe always starts after their biggest screwup...9/11/01
Cheney constantly forgoets that it was their job to keep us safe before and during 9/11. They were warned, they did nothing (though some say they did it all). and they have never taken responsibility for that horrendous negligence.

Like I say:

If thousands of innocent Americans haven't been murdered in one day by Sept. 11, 2009, then the Obama Administration is doing waaaay better than Bush/Cheney.

The attacks on 9/11 were no screw up!

People at both the CIA and FBI HQ deliberately and intentionally allowed the al Qaeda terrorists to carry out the attacks that took place on 9/11, see my Journal for the details.

These agencies forced all investigations of al Qaeda terrorists found to be inside of the US to be shut down, when it was learned that Mihdhar and Hazmi were found inside of the US, and Moussaoui had been arrested.

The people at these agencies who did this, clearly knew that this would prevent the FBI criminal investigators, who wanted to start an investigation and search for both Mihdhar and Hazmi, from stoping the massive al Qaeda attack that both these agencies had been warned about since April 2001.

36. Where on Earth WAS he, then?
@5. Dick, STFU
> ..."This guy was MIA for 8 years..."

Not MIA. Only extremely busy with managing a Global Mass Murder Operation with Malice Aforethought, complete with a few special-ops Delta Force robo-platoons killing anyone who stood in the way of... What could it be...? Nothing in the newspapers or anywhere on the Telly-Vision to indicate... Ah. Yes. *That* inedible stuff. Indeed: FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Item: The Big RoboGoon of the Big Limpin' Dick's former RoboPlatoons of Screaming Death in the Village at Night has now been redeployed into the Afghani empire-devouring meatgrinder. So which brave and patriotic-to-the-motherland Afghan Freedom Fighter will collect the large and glorious price that is surely by now affixed onto THAT robodroid's soulless head? Only a weeping Kind Holy Creator of All Throughout All (akb many other Names, including "Allah" by all genuine accounts) might ever know whether and who indeed if such a thing is to be so, for sure.

> ..."uuuugggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!"

Good shooting, O Naked Ninja Adept! Couldn't have projectile-vomited all over that blood-soaked visage and stolen Armani wardrobe any more effectively myself. (It's the stench that does it every time, fer sure.) Cadaverine and Putrescene in the prime note of that "scent", plus a substantial butyric acid component AND just the faintest though heavily masked-over trace of something worse; an infandously diabolic stench in the ancient Sabbatean/Frankist/Molochian Heretickal Tradition of Post-Neonatal Contraception, I for one am quite reasonably certain - ye Holey Third Nostril does not lie. ;)

http://ia301511.us.archive.org/0/items/PoliticalPonerology/ponerology.pdf for the field-proven Hard Science behind the mutually accurate perception. Put an old man's lifework to work right here at HOME. In genuine knowledge there is remedy; in remedy we find our hope. Download it all, and partake of the Strong Meat of the matter afore we go out like Bonnie Prince Charlie and his own brave band of stalwartly determined though entirely under-supported and weakened starving-while-fighting laddie-bucks.

Then off to Sun Tsu's Place for a little study in The Art of War. Ol' Prince Machiavelli's hangin' out there today, some passers-by have averred...

Aside: Doctor, there IS a Cure for that traitorous Cheney-grade (for it IS Cheney) degenerative maltreatment! I think it is called "TRIAL, CONVICTION AND JAIL TIME" if not indeed "HANGING BY THE NECK UNTIL DEAD" in the Dominant Culture's lexicon.

Christ, I do wish that poor murderin' barstid had not joined the Bohemian Grove's Bloodhand Club! Would have saved us all SOOOO much grievous harm and trouble by just missing just ONE drunken captive-game shootin' pah-tay... But he "HAD" to shoot his own lawyer; "HE HAD NO CHOICE" is the alibi at all times with that crowd. Oh well.

32. Here's one
None other than Mr Maverick himself, John McCain:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who clashed with Cheney over those same interrogation technique methods, came to the vice president's defense over Panetta's assertion that Cheney would benefit from another terrorist attack.

"I disagreed with the Cheney policy on interrogation techniques, but never did it cross my mind that Dick Cheney would ever want an attack on the United States of America. And it's unfair, and I think that Mr. Panetta should retract, and retract immediately," McCain said during a Fox News interview on Monday.

Oh, the outrage!:sarcasm: Can't these people read??? Panetta said "almost"!

14. I see red
every time I hear this "we kept America safe" bullshit. It really does fill me with rage. Try selling that to the families of the 3000 people who died on September 11, 2001. They weren't fucking kept safe. Last I checked, Bush's presidency began on 1/20/2001, not 9/12/2001.

I wish Cheney would STFU and crawl back into the fiery pit whence he came, until it's time for him to be put on trial.

18. And if your "old friend" wasn't misquoted, Dick? Then what?
Is this another one of your veiled threats? Are you saying Panetta should now avoid traveling on small planes? And you and Junior kept us safe for eight years? Gee, that's funny. I don't recall having felt that safe when the World Trade Center was under attack. And then there was that Hurricane Katrina thing that so upset those folks in New Orleans. Let's see now. If I remember correctly, Georgie was out cutting brush during that one while that city drowned. Heckuva job, Dubya. Excuse me, but if this is your idea of safety, I think I'd rather give the American President a shot at the job. That, by the way, is Barack Obama in case you've forgotten. It isn't you or DimSon, and we can all be thankful and feel a lot safer for that.

21. Since Cheney was in charge during the 9/11 attack . .. and before . . .
who else was responsible for 9/11 and "How could they not have known?"

Cheney understands what he and Bush have done is treason -- and he could use another
new "Pearl Harbor" to change the subject!!!
