Iran Police Dismantles Opposition Network

Teheran, Jun 24 (Prensa Latina) The Iranian police dismantled an opposition network promoting and coordinating post electoral manifestations in Teheran, it was revealed Wednesday.

The Intelligence and Security Department of the Teheran police declared that a building in Haft-e-Tir plaza was used as "general headquarters" to incite the disturbances unleashed after the results of the June 12 elections were made known.

According to IRNA news agency, the network's members were detained and confiscated documents corroborating the execution of a plot against Iranian security.

Sources quoted by PRESS TV channel sustain the building had been used for the electoral campaign of Mir-Hossein Mousavi, the strongest rival of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, winner of the elections.

Just a guess, but they could have used the area to set up or find the place and time of a protest.


However I do not believe the parts about the foriegn involvement. That sounds like propaganda.

به گزارش «کلمه»، عصر امروز مهندس میرحسین موسوی جلسه ای با اساتید عضو انجمن اسلامی مدرسان دانشگاه های کشور داشت که بعد از این دیدار 70 نفر از افراد حاضر در جلسه دستگیر شدند.
درباره مکانی که این اساتید دانشگاه را به آنجا منتقل کردند اطلاعی در دسترس نیست.

About where this university professors transferred there is no information available.

According to the Kalameh website, this evening, June 24th, Mir Hossein Mousavi held a meeting with the university professors who are members of IAUTI. After the meeting, 70 attendees were arrested.

No information is at hand about the place the professors were taken to.
