MLiveU.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, this week wrote a letter to Mike Sola, the Washtenaw County man who wheeled his son up to the front of the congressman's town hall meeting in Romulus last week and shouted, "I have a question for this young man."
At the town hall, Sola accused Dingell of sponsoring legislation that would not guarantee coverage for his 36-year-old son, Scott, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Dingell said that an amendment to the legislation would cover Scott, but was cut off before he could elaborate.
Appearing on Fox News earlier this week, Sola asked, "If this plan that you're trying to put on us is so good, why would you even need an amendement? I asked Congressman Dingell the number of that amendment, and he didn't even know."
Well, Dingell wrote Sola a letter his week reassuring him that Scott would be covered and explaining the amendment he referenced in Romulus.
