Factory Fire In Detroit
Source: WWJ

Detroit (WWJ) -- Detroit firefighters were working to put out a fire at a chemical plant in Detroit Monday afternoon. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

Fire officials say there has been some explosions inside the Diversified Chemical Technologies building on Woodrow Wilson and Pilgrim, which is near the Lodge Freeway and McNichols. A number of chemicals are inside the building, according to officials.

"The fire started in an auto plating facility and the building stores chemicals, solvents and acids," Deputy Fire Commissioner Seth Doyle told WWJ.
