Libya sends US last nuclear parts
CRAWFORD: In a major step toward completing its pledged disarmament, Libya on Saturday sent to the United States all known remaining equipment associated with its nuclear weapons programme, along with its longer-range missiles and launchers, the White House said.

Libya will also sign the International Atomic Energy Agency Additional Protocol next week, diplomats said.

As part of an agreement to rid Libya of weapons of mass destruction, a ship containing 500 metric tonnes of equipment left the North African nation earlier on Saturday for an undisclosed destination in the US, White House National Security Council spokesman Sean McCormack said.

The shipment included all of Libya’s known centrifuge parts used to enrich uranium, and all equipment from its former uranium conversion facility. The White House said the ship was also carrying all of Libya’s longer-range missiles, including five Scuds, and all associated equipment, including launchers.

“It’s coming to the US. We’re not saying where or when for security reasons,” Mr McCormack told reporters in Crawford in Texas.

1. Red herring. "Kerry waved that argument away: "Everybody who knows any..."

Mr. Kerry waved that argument away: "Everybody who knows anything about Libya and Qaddafi knows that is not what brought him around. They will claim it, they want the linkage, but it is not true, like much of what they say." He added, "that deal was on the table several years ago" as Libya sought to settle the Pan Am Flight 103 terrorism case. "No matter how much they bluster and futz, they can't fake it," he said.

2. True, but I was trying to amke a different point
The point is, to me, that Libya's 'nucular' material is being shipped to the United States.

Where it is going is double-plus secret.

Who is shipping it? How? Who got the contract? Are they hiring?

Okay, that last one was sarcasm. :-)
