BUSINESS and political leaders who backed the coup overthrowing Honduras' president, Manue Zelaya are considering returning him to office with limited power.

The reversal and Zelaya's decision to consider it, reflect the growing desperation to resolve a three-month stand-off that has turned the country upside down.

That was the full item.

The term, "limited power" looks ominous, leading as it could, to a return to the stand-off and even more entrenched attitudes on both sides. A Pyrrhic victory, fraught with menace for the future, should not be what the usurpers look for.

they will choose their own path and it won't involve Zelaya.
