Siena: Owens Leads, NY-20 All Over Again? (NY-23 Election) |
|
Source: NY Daily News
Today's Siena poll finds Democratic nominee Bill Owens coming from behind to gain a slim lead in NY-23, overtaking the erstwhile the GOP frontrunner, Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, by four points.
Just two weeks ago, Owens trailed Scozzafava by seven points. He now has the support of 33 percent of likely voters compared to her 29 percent. Conservative nominee Doug Hoffman is at 23 percent, up seven points.
"With just 10 points separating the three candidates, this is likely to be a very tight - and fiercely fought - campaign right through election day, now less than three weeks away," said Siena poll spokesman Steve Greenberg.
...snip...
This comes on the heels of a report that Scozzafava is having trouble raising campaign cash, which has hampered her ability to buy TV ads. She has just one (positive) spot on the air, while Owens has three, also positive.

This is the seat vacated by Republican John McHugh, who left to take a position with the Obama Administration. The election will be held on Nov 3, a local/municipal election day in New York.

5. For the Progressive Caucus to poop on! |

That's probably why the race is so close. No real differences, except maybe the religious wedge issues.

|
I see this poll as next to meaningless. Sorry.
