Cheney to campaign for Hutchison in Texas (2010 Gov)
Source: MSNBC

AUSTIN, Texas — Former Vice President Dick Cheney will throw his support behind U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's campaign for Texas governor.

Hutchison's campaign confirmed Wednesday that Cheney will endorse the Texas Republican's March primary challenge of Gov. Rick Perry at a fundraiser next month.

Campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Baker says details are still being worked out, but Cheney is scheduled to appear at a Nov. 17 fundraiser and campaign event in Houston.

The former vice president is popular with conservative activists and could help Hutchison bolster support among them.

4. Hired to do so by the Perry campaign, no doubt
I've met people from Texas, and they don't seem as stupid as this story would make them out to be.

6. This is going to blow Freeper minds in TX, the conservatives want Perry

Hopefully this is a good sign for the moderate influences, even if Cheney is the one who causes it to succeed. Anything but Perry
