Iran accuses Britain of meddling
Source: Al Jazeera

Iran has called on the British ambassador to respond to accusations of his government's "interference" in the Islamic Republic, as pro-government rallies continue.

Manouchehr Mottaki, the Iranian foreign minister, told a news conference on Tuesday that the ambassador had been summoned over Britain's interference in Iran's domestic affairs.

"If Britain does not stop talking nonsense it will get a slap in the mouth," he said.

The Iranian regime is desperatly clinging to the idea of a foreign enemy to gather it's people behind them.
I would love to see how Iran would give Britain a smack in the mouth, by the way.

3. They're angry about all the Burburry Burkas the Brits have been
exporting to them lately. Fashion has no place in religious fundamentalism.

6. Softer target then America, they can say more and get less blowback.
Still isn't a Smart move, the only thing this is doing is convincing Britain that Iran needs sanctions. The only people who believe this shit is a few idiots here and Iran version of Bush's 30 percenters.

7. We're the newest enemy.
And currently the biggest.

Before us, there was Britain. Reza Pahlavi? The Brits essentially put him there in the first place. Then the British supported Iraq, so while they're less important after WWII they still figure prominently in the list of enemies thwarting the Persians' will to power.
