Just breaking.... No story just the headline so far.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/

BBC America just reported it on their broadcast as well.

Here's a later link:

Twenty-six detainees at the US base at Guantanamo Bay are to be repatriated or freed, the American military has said.
In a statement, the Pentagon said 23 Afghans and three Pakistanis had been transferred to an unspecified location.

1. link (but not much more info)

The U.S. military is releasing about two dozen Afghan and Pakistani citizens from the U.S. Navy prison for terrorist suspects in Cuba, defense officials said Monday.

They were being flown back to Afghanistan and Pakistan aboard U.S. aircraft, but a public announcement was being withheld until their arrival, the officials said. Terms of their release were not immediately clear, but it appeared it would be up to their governments to decide what to do with them.

2. lets home they actually have homes and families to return too.
considering the US likes deporting "foreign" nationals that have lived for years in the country and have very few roots in their "home" countries.

3. Didn't Rummy say
that the Gitmo detainees were THE most dangerous criminals to roam the earth? Why are these ones being let go? Were there mistakes made? No, can't be.
