The U.S. State Department denied a British newspaper report Monday that U.S. Ambassador Tom Miller told Greek officials that U.S. athletes would be pulled from the Summer Olympics if security was not drastically increased, NBC News reported.

1. Why not just ban athletes from other countries

Just have the Greek army escort US athletes in to accept the medals and go home. Cheaper for everybody.

2. To be sure, Junior will push for a boycott to protect his politcal arse.
He wants to scare everybody into believing that there *might* be an incident.

I only hope the public doesn't buy it. The world athletes (including many in the U.S.) have practised and trained hard for many long months and years. They should NOT be denied their participation in this Olympic tradition.

Security: yes!
Boycott: no!
