Lawyer of Mumbai attack co-accused shot dead

MUMBAI (Reuters) - A lawyer for Fahim Ansari, an Indian accused of being a member of Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba and conducting reconnaissance of Mumbai landmarks before the 2008 attacks, was shot dead on Thursday, a senior police official said.

Shahid Azmi, a lawyer for Ansari, who along with Sabahuddin Ahmed is accused of being a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was shot at by unknown gunmen in a Mumbai suburb.

That's really irritating.

There is no justification for killing innocent people. It takes the same strain of twisted logic to see innocent people on the street or a lawyer performing his job as targets deserving of death.
