Remains of 2 found after Austin plane crash
Source: CNN

CNN) -- The remains of two people have been found in an Austin, Texas, building where a man crashed a small plane, authorities said.

The identities of the two dead people have not been confirmed, the Austin Fire Department said in a statement. Two other people who were injured in the incident were taken to a hospital, and 11 others were treated for minor injuries, Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said.

Authorities said Andrew Joseph Stack III, 53, an Austin resident with an apparent grudge against the Internal Revenue Service, set his house on fire Thursday and then crashed a Piper Cherokee PA-28 into the building, which houses an IRS office with nearly 200 employees, federal officials said.

"This appears to be an intentional act by a sole individual," Acevedo said at a news conference. A fire created by the crash had been put out, save for some small areas, officials said. Fire crews were expected to continue to work through the night.

3. a lifetime of bad decisions - always someone else's fault
and in the end, he still wanted someone else to be responsible for his decision to die. Couldn't die alone and lonely - no, he decided that others should die, too.

Misguided fool.

10. Anyone that can be pushed to killing innocent people has severe violence issues that
the IRS isn't responsible for. Had it not been the irs it could have been a mortgage company, or simply some store clerk not willing to give him a refund. This guy had anger issues.

8. Our government better change very soon or this is going to happen
again an again. People are getting fed up. Don't be surprised when this or something worse happens not from a attack by a foreign agent but by our own citizens.

11. Yr government isn't to blame for lunatics like him...
Edited on Fri Feb-19-10 05:34 AM by Violet_Crumble
I'm sick of seeing the government, the IRS, and just about everything apart from the lunatic responsible being blamed for this when ones like him pop up all over the place every now and again. Only a few weeks ago a lunatic where I live walked into an insurance office in Darwin and tried to blow it up. I'm pretty sure you can't blame yr government for that one...

13. What would you like "our government" to do? Bow down to self-centered
imbalanced, selfish, irrational people and just let them have their way?

I can't, for the life of me, figure out what you mean by "our government better change very soon".

9. So sad to hear he took someone else with him.
I heard on the news that his Wife and 12yo daughter just escaped their house burning down.

There's much tragedy in this, even for the perpetrator who died. He clearly had issues.

Burned down his house before orphaning his child and widowing his wife?

16. The terrorist label is based on the ethnicity and race of the individual.
Thus the reason why the media and the government do not call this what it is.

Terrorism is in essence a racist construction.

18. Crackpot, NO..............
Do I condone his actions, Absolutely Not. Have I personally witnessed a mans savings wiped out through no fault of his own YES, Actually I feel terrible that in these days it really does happen on a daily basis. I think we all lose a little, Its a statement to the condition of working people. Same feeling when I read millions of jobs taken overseas for the profit over hard working individuals. Just a sad, sad, Situation.

26. Ding! Ding! Ding!
Many still do not consider Timothy McVeigh a domestic terrorist. As if his white Christian anger was justified in killing innocent Americans.

It's pathetic....
