9. Karadzic is a murderer, but he's also right!
I know it sounds crazy, and certainly Karadzic of all people should not be trusted on this. He was involved in plenty of war crimes himself. But it so happens he's right about the Bosnian Muslims attacking their own people. They did, repeatedly. It was reported as such in every major newspaper at the time, repeatedly, but it was downplayed, because the Muslims were the US allies at the time. It's since pretty much been totally forgotten, and I'm sure the journalists covering his trial will be too lazy to go back and actually check the evidence. But as the saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice in a day.

Here's some snippets from just a few of the dozens of articles I've gathered on the subject in the course of my terrorism research:

Muslims 'Slaughter Their Own People'

by Leonard Doyle
The Independent
August 22, 1992

United Nations officials and senior Western military officers believe some of the worst recent killings in Sarajevo, including the massacre of at least 16 people in a bread queue, were carried out by the city's mainly Muslim defenders - not Serb besiegers - as a propaganda ploy to win world sympathy and military intervention.

The view has been expressed in confidential reports circulating at UN headquarters in New York, and in classified briefings to US policymakers in Washington. All suggest that Sarajevo's defenders, mainly Muslims but including Croats and a number of Serb residents, staged several attacks on their own people in the hope of dramatising the city's plight in the face of insuperable Serbian odds.

They emphasize, however, that these attacks, though bloody, were a tiny minority among regular city bombardments by Serbian forces.

The reports recite a litany of gruesome events, from the bombing of the bread queue on 27 May to the 4 August explosion at a cemetery while two orphans were being buried, and a ''choreographed'' mortar salvo 30 seconds after Douglas Hurd entered a building for a meeting with the Bosnian President, Alija Izetbegovic, on 17 July. The mortar attack, which the Foreign Secretary played down by saying ''it wasn't as bad as the No 10 bang,'' killed or wounded 10 bystanders. A Bosnian guard of honour for Mr Hurd's security had, however, already taken cover.

UN Implies Muslims Deliberately Shelled Own Civilians

by Joel Brand
The London Times
November 11, 1994

Troops of Bosnia's mainly Muslim government shelled a Sarajevo residential area under their control, the United Nations has suggested, as a fierce Serb counter-offensive against Bihac continued yesterday, with Serb forces retaking some ground around the northwestern enclave.

In Sarajevo, Lieutenant-Colonel Jacques Lechevallier of the UN said that he had investigated three mortar shells which hit Sarajevo on Tuesday; one was determined to have been fired by the Serbs and the other two came from within the government-held part of the city. Although UN officers refused to draw conclusions, the unspoken implication at a UN presentation of the crater analysis yesterday morning was that members of the Bosnian army had deliberately shelled their own people to increase international sympathy.

The UN condemned Wednesday's air strike by Croatian Serbs on the town of Bihac and accompanying artillery fire. About 14 residents in the ''safe area'' were wounded. Bosnian radio claimed ten civilians were killed. Thant Myint-U, a UN spokesman, called the air raid and involvement by Serb forces from a neighbouring country ''the most serious threat in recent months against any future success of the peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina''.

In February, a single mortar shell killed 68 Sarajevans in a market place, precipitating Nato's ultimatum to the Serb gunners on mountains around the city. A shell that the UN determined was fired by the Serbs, and which landed in the same neighbourhood on Tuesday, killed two children and a woman and wounded a number of others. The two shells fired from a Bosnian army-controlled area wounded a young boy. A UN official condemned the ''stupidity'' of the attacks. ''It just reinforces the Unprofor (United Nations Protection Force) line that everyone is equally bad.''

Serbs 'Not Guilty' of Massacre

by Hugh McManners
The London Times
October 1, 1995

British ammunition experts serving with the United Nations in Sarajevo have challenged key ''evidence'' of the Serbian atrocity that triggered the devastating Nato bombing campaign which turned the tide of the Bosnian war.

The experts, who examined the scene of the market massacre in Sarajevo in August, say they found no evidence that Bosnian Serbs had fired the lethal mortar round. They suspected the Bosnian government army might have been responsible.

They say French analysts who also examined the scene agreed with them. But they were overruled by a senior American officer, and the UN issued a statement saying it was beyond any doubt that the Bosnian Serbs were responsible for the blast, in which 37 people were killed and 90 wounded.

The carnage was used as the pretext for Nato's huge air campaign against the Bosnian Serbs, which was followed by extensive battlefield losses, and forced the Serbs to the negotiating table.

Senior Official Admits to Secret U.N. Report on Sarajevo Massacre

Deutsche Presse-Agentur
June 6, 1996

New York - For the first time, a senior U.N. official has admitted the existence of a secret U.N. report that blames the Bosnian Moslems for the February 1994 massacre of Moslems at a Sarajevo market.

Yasushi Akashi, the Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and the former head of the U.N. mission in Bosnia, told the German Press Agency dpa that the secret report is "no secret."

An international outcry over the massacre, in which 68 civilians perished at Markale marketplace, led directly to a toughening of Western policy towards the Serbs, who were widely blamed for the incident.

...

After studying the crater left by the mortar shell and the distribution of the shrapnel, the report concluded that the shell was fired from behind Moslem lines. U.N. monitors reported no Serbian shelling that day from points near the marketplace.

---

My commentary: the number of people killed in such false flag incidents was small compared to the overall carnage, but these operations were staged in times and places for maximum political effect, and they did have a pivotal effect on world opinion. They gave political cover for an escalation in Western intervention on more than one occasion. It was like the Gulf of Tompkin incident in Vietnam, except repeated several times over.

Bosnia Army Said to Shell Its Own Area

by Chuck Sudetic
The New York Times
November 11, 1994
http://www.nytimes.com/1994/11/11/world/bosnia-army-said-to-shell-its-own-area.html

Releasing a crater analysis of a shell that exploded here on Tuesday, wounding a child, United Nations military officials today gave what appeared to be the first compelling evidence that the mostly Muslim Bosnian Army carried out a mortar attack on a Sarajevo neighborhood under its control.

...

But the evidence that at least one of the Bosnians' recent wounds was self-inflicted seemed certain to harden the resistance of United Nations military officials here, who have been complaining for months that the Bosnian Government is trying to draw the peacekeeping force and NATO into what would amount to a support role for the Government.

14. I certainly am not
I follow wherever the information leads. For instance, in other research I have done, I've found evidence the Israel Mossad committed their own false flag operations in other conflicts. Heck, the head of the Mossad even boasted about unnamed false flag operations in a 60 Minutes interview. Unfortunately, politics and war are brutal, and many terrible things happen. The Serbs did plenty of terrible things. So did the Croats. So did the Bosnian Muslims. There was no side that came through that war pure as the driven snow. I don't see how that is racist to point that out. The US government has done terrible things too. There are few governments that haven't.

I found the above articles through the Lexis Nexus search engine, and as I said, they are just a small sampling of the many articles at the time about the Bosnian Muslims killing their own people. So don't call me a liar or a racist, accuse all the journalists and newspapers that published those stories.

12. Another
One more article snippet. Here's how the false flag scam worked:

How Media Shape Foreign Policy

by Brian Mitchell
Investor's Business Daily
July 7, 1998

... Take, for example, the infamous ''breadline massacre'' in '92, which killed 16 people outside a Sarajevo bakery. The Bosnian government and international press blamed Serb artillery. But U.N. officials concluded later that the Bosnian Muslims had committed the attack for TV even though it meant killing their own supporters.

Canadian Gen. Lewis MacKenzie, commander of U.N. peacekeepers in Sarajevo, wrote later: ''Our people tell us there were a number of things that didn't fit. The street had been blocked off just before the incident. Once the crowd was let in and had lined up, the media appeared but kept their distance. The attack took place, and the media were immediately on the scene.''

Bosnian Muslims are alleged to have committed several similar attacks that were blamed on Serbs. They include a mortar attack on British Foreign Minister Douglas Hurd, a grenade attack on a girl's funeral, and two marketplace bombings, one in '94 and another in '95. Each time, the cameras were ready, and the incident was aired as an example of Serb barbarism.

...

Richard Holbrooke, who pushed for airstrikes as assistant secretary of state, still insists the Serbs were to blame. But in a recent review in The Nation of a book Holbrooke wrote, former U.S. diplomat Kenney wrote that an American three-star general told Kenney there was ''a one in a million chance that the Serbs were guilty.'' Even the sniper fire around Sarajevo was at least partly the work of Bosnian soldiers shooting at their own citizens. The New York Times quoted a French officer saying, ''We find it almost impossible to believe, but we are sure that it is true.''

---

My commentary: so, on more than one occasion, the video cameras were already in place and waiting for an innocent crowd to be bombed! How sick and twisted is that? And, as other articles I have indicate, in more than one massacre, dead bodies from recent battles were immediately brought in and laid among the wreckage to increase the body count (again, showing how premeditated it was). US officials were not only aware of this, they often appeared at the scene within minutes and helped stifle any independent investigations. It's also ironic that the leader of Muslim Bosnia at the time turned out to be in cahoots with none other than Osama bin Laden at the same time these false flag attacks were happening.

I have a couple of timeline entries about that:

1994: Bin Laden Seen Repeatedly Meeting with Bosnian Muslim President Izetbegovic

Renate Flottau, a reporter for Der Spiegel, later claims she meets Osama bin Laden in Bosnia some time in 1994. She is in a waiting room of Bosnian Muslim President Alija Izetbegovic’s office in order to interview him when she runs into bin Laden. He gives her a business card but at the time she does not recognize the name. They speak for about ten minutes and he talks to her in excellent English. He asks no questions but reveals that he is in Bosnia to help bring Muslim fighters into the country and that he has a Bosnian passport. Izetbegovic’s staffers seem displeased that bin Laden is speaking to a Western journalist. One tells her that bin Laden is “here every day and we don’t know how to make him go away.” She sees bin Laden at Izetbegovic’s office again one week later. This time he is accompanied by several senior members of Izetbegovic’s political party that she recognizes, including members from the secret police. She later calls the encounter “incredibly bizarre.” (Shindler, 2007, pp. 123-125) A journalist for the London Times will witness Flottau’s first encounter with bin Laden and testify about it in a later court trial (see November 1994). Members of the SDA, Izetbegovic’s political party, will later deny the existence of such visits. But one Muslim politician, Sejfudin Tokic, speaker of the upper house of the Bosnian parliament, will say that such visits were “not a fabrication,” and that photos exist of bin Laden and Izetbegovic together. One such photo will later appear in a local magazine. Author John Schindler will say the photo is “fuzzy but appears to be genuine.” (Schindler, 2007, pp. 124-125, 342) According to one account, bin Laden continues to visit the Balkan region as late as 1996. (Wall Street Journal (Europe), 1/11/2001)

November 1994: Bin Laden Seen Meeting with President of Muslim Bosnia

In 2006, London Times reporter Eve-Ann Prentice will testify under oath during Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic’s international war crimes tribunal that she saw Osama bin Laden go into a meeting with Muslim Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic. Prentice was there with Der Speigel reporter Renate Flottau waiting for an interview with Izetbegovic when bin Laden walked by (see 1994). Prentice will later recall, “here was a very important looking Arabic looking person is the best way I can describe it who came in and went ahead just before I was supposed to go in to interview, and I was curious because it obviously looked as if it was somebody very, very important, and they were shown straight through to Mr. Izetbegovic’s office.” Curious, Prentice asked around and found out from Flottau and another eyewitness that the person was bin Laden, then Prentice confirmed this for herself when she later saw pictures of bin Laden. Interestingly, the judge at Milosevic’s trial will cut off questions about the incident and there will be no mentions of it by journalists covering the trial, though a transcript of the exchange will eventually appear on the United Nation’s International Criminal Tribunal website. (International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, 2/3/2006) Prentice apparently will no longer be reporting by 2006, but in 2002 she mentioned in passing in a Times article, “Osama bin Laden visited the Balkans several times in the 1980s and 1990s and is widely believed by Serbs to have aided Muslims in the Bosnian war and the Kosovo conflict.” (London Times, 3/5/2002) Bin Laden also visited Izetbegovic in 1993 (see 1993).

---

And this wasn't just some social call. Bin Laden helped funnel in literally a couple billion dollars through fake charities to illegally circumvent a UN embargo and help the Bosnian Muslim war effort, and there's a whole rogue's gallery of al-Qaeda operatives who fought in Bosnia, including some later directly involved in 9/11. I document all that in my timeline. There's no way the US could not have known, and there's evidence the US helped bin Laden bring his operatives into Bosnia, and may even have helped train them. So while Karadzic certainly was involved in his own massacres and war crimes, the side he was fighting wasn't exactly all Boy Scouts either.

But then again, war is like that. There's usually all kinds of horrible atrocities that take place on all sides, and alliances with dubious characters made that look embarrassing later. Unfortunately for Karadzic, if he tries to point any of this out, people will just laugh and assume he's lying, because it all sounds so unbelievable.

10. 10 to 1 from the way he looked
He was probably of bosniak descent himself.

So in a sense he is right but no what was done out there rest squarely on the Serbians.

That they were "tough" enough to push the Bosnians around without doing anything about the Albanians or the Croatians;says more about them then ever needs to be said.
