Times Sq. Bomb Suspect Had Other NYC Targets
Source: CBS News/AP

The suspect in the botched Times Square bombing told investigators that he had other targets in New York City, CBS News reports.

The news comes as prosecutors announced Faisal Shahzad would make his first appearance in federal court on Tuesday. Shahzad would appear in court on five felony charges related to the May 1 botched bombing, they said.

Shahzad told investigators that he targeted other Midtown Manhattan attractions such as Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center, CBS News reports.

More of Shahzad's other targets included the World Financial Center near ground zero in Manhattan and some offices of the Stratford, Conn.-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., CBS News reports.

Sikorsky, a defense contractor, has facilities in Shelton, Conn., and Stratford, Conn.

1. But having locked his keys inside the bomb vehicle, he couldn't get to any other targets.

Just like the Christmas Underwear Bomber whose father was a high level Government Official...

These are not random Terrorists without money or means..

14. Those weren't the only dots, though.
Did you think Bushco did a good job of connecting the dots, or not? How about Clinton? How about Poppy Bush? How about Reagan? How about Obama? He said his administration didn't, not on the underpants bomber and not on the car bomber. Is Obama lying?

Munich happened on Carter's watch. So did the Iran hostages, but I can't expect Carter to have anticipated it or seen a pattern. At least not based on what I know. Maybe Carter had intelligence that should have alerted him. But, sometime between the Munich Olympics and 911, one of those bozos should have seen a pattern and instituted some safety measures.

The first duty of our government is to protect our lives. Presidents will tell you so themselves, and they are correct. That's why the government paid the families of the 911 victims. What the hell did any of them do?

Maybe they did a lot of things and never told us, for security reasons. I'd like to think that, but I don't have a lot of confidence in my wish.

10. Didn't work, knew he was hosed.
He'd purchased a second vehicle, apparently, to load up with more half-cooked explosives. Sort of shoots the "all terrorists are suicide bombers" theories out of the water.

12. Just because the first bomb failed didn't mean he couldn't try again.
Maybe he figured he needed to go back to Pakistan for a remedial course?
