Supporters and Protesters at Planned Parenthood Anniversary (Iowa)

CEDAR RAPIDS - Planned Parenthood of East Central Iowa is going all out to mark its 30th anniversary and so are protesters.

Planned Parenthood has clinics in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and Monticello. The president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Cecile Richards, will speak to a crowd of about 200 Thursday night in honor of the group's 30th anniversary.

There is plenty of security for the event, but in this part of Iowa, the non-profit doesn't perform abortions.

Planned Parenthood says the celebration centers on 30 years of prevention, education, and advocacy in eastern Iowa for women, men, and teens.

I know many abortions are from right winger's daughters. They have a teenage daughter who makes a mistake doing what most teenagers do but the right wing church going parents are too embarrassed to have a pregnant daughter in public.
