Cops: San Jose man threatened Chicago Mayor Daley
Source: San Jose Mercury News

A 39-year-old San Jose man who is suspected of leaving a threatening phone message to Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was arrested by police, according to police and media reports.

Christopher Traynor Fox, 39, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon at his home in San Jose based on an arrest warrant issued by Chicago police and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, according to Dirk Parsons, a San Jose police spokesman.

Chicago police say Fox is wanted on suspicion of making telephone threats against a public official, but would not name the official. The Chicago Tribune, citing sources, said Fox is suspected of leaving a threatening telephone message against Daley.

An arrest warrant sought by Chicago detectives was issued Tuesday, according to Chicago police. Cook County prosecutors will request extradition, police said.

Hmm, someone in California threatening a (Democratic) mayor of Chicago, Illinois. Does this sort of echo Gregory Giusti's threatening phone messages to US Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the current Democratic Speaker of the House whose district is the liberal enclave of San Francisco? The end of this article mentions Daley's remarks about an ongoing US Supreme Court case regarding Chicago's ban on handguns.

1. So no big deal right the secret service does nothing about things
like this. They only settled at nano speed when someone dissed Bush or a member of the republican party. They should all be reassigned to desk jobs and secret service who really protect people be allowed to do so.
