Bush blasts N.Korea's Kim for wasting resources
Source: Google News

SEOUL — Former US President George W Bush on Tuesday accused North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il of wasting his country's precious resources on personal luxuries and nuclear weapons programmes.

North Koreans have been suffering since the Korean War ended, Bush told a prayer meeting to mark the 60th anniversary of the war's outbreak.

"While South Korea prospers, the people of North Korea have suffered profoundly," he said, adding communism had resulted in "dire poverty, mass starvation and brutal suppression".

"In recent years the suffering has been compounded by the leader who wasted North Korea's precious few resources on personal luxuries and nuclear weapons programmes."

9. North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950. Whether it was an "illegal war" - I guess it depends on
who is doing the defining. But N. Korea definitely was the aggressor, for what that is worth.

11. Yes, but...

One of the biggest causes of the Korean war was from the allied nations not allowing Korea hold elections after the war in the Pacific and they gave power to the south. North Korea went its own way and turned communist. The north invaded after allied forces routinely violated the 38th parallel and the north finally had enough of it.

Unless North Korea has a constitution or other presiding document that spells out the terms of going to war, and in light of North Korea not being a signatory to any international agreements, there was nothing illegal about the war.

16. The OP is an article about GWB calling KJI wasteful
Kim was 9 years old in 1950. Don't confuse a man with a country.

Bush was SUPPOSED to speak for all of the Unitied States, at best he did about 0.5% of his job. Now, he's just the same asshat that he was before the GOP put him in the White House. Still a moron, still only caring about the people with the money. Why antone should care about what he says is beyond me. I rank news of him speaking much below what the idiot step childen of Bruce Jenner, the bitches of (pick a city), and dancing/singing morons are doing - and if it isn't obvious, I detest those shows.

Hm, the war of 1950, when NK attacted the South, and get into a world war one scenario for most of the time... with the end product that thousands, even houndred of thousands of sivilians was killed, maimed and had to leave their land and their livelyhood for the rest of their life becouse of the dividing of the Korean country..

And why by the way, are yet to make a peace treaty wtth the South, tecnically they are still at war footing..

8. Don't make us laugh. What a hypocrite. It's the pot calling the kettle black
Unbelievable. It's like the U.S. trying to tell other countries how to hold elections when our own elections are so corrupt. Bush's above all.

13. Bush has always wanted war with North Korea
He has taunted and dared and pushed and ignored and generally done everything he can to get North Korea to attack the US in some way. He wants endless war no matter what it takes. He must be making money through the sale of arms and general war profits.
