If Mitt Romney is the front-runner for the Republican nomination, he’s starting out at a much weaker position than Bob Dole or John McCain ever did at this point in the ’96 and ’08 cycles. Full story

1. I almost never stop being amazed at
how many Republicans, who so piously call themselves Family Values folks, and who admonish all of the rest of us to obey the law and other such righteous things, themselves fuck like minks, drive drunk, molest little children, fail to pay taxes, and so on and so forth.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Republican.

3. Another little tidbit that, if the office-seeker were a Dem, would
be trumpeted to the skies by the MSM and Fux, starting at 6AM with the Three Little Stooges and winding up with a whining legal analysis of how many years the Dem could go to jail for, courtesy of Palin's BFF Greta Van Whatever. It's only a crime when Democrats do it.

4. failing to file required federal tax forms.
How about they lose it for being POLITICAL and not religious. I'll take their own incompetence as the catalyst for making them pay their taxes. But while we're at it, how about pointing out that they are not a religious group any more, if they ever were one.

And then go after all the other groups who do politics.

5. And while this is going on, DU runs ads for Pat Toomey
The Republican darling of the Republican Clods Club for Growth and all-around Republican douchebag, who is running against Joe Sestak for one of Pennsylvania's seats in the US Senate.

WTF is up with THAT?

7. If you're able to donate and get
a star, you don't see the ads.

I also understand that part of the strategy is that if you click on the ad, they have to pay money to someone. Maybe even DU.

16. I'm curious. Do you think anyone here at DU is going to be persuaded to support Toomey
because of an ad popping up on DU? Really?

18. Do think that everybody - EVERYBODY - knows Toomey is a toolbag?
ANY chance that somebody is going to think that if a blog like DU carries the guy's ads, he must be a good Dem or an endorsed candidate and therefore worth donating to or even (perish the thought) voting for?

Holy shit, man! DO you know who Toomey is? Don't you feel that a blog like this one should be carrying Sestak ads or helping to push campaign contributions for Joe instead of sticking TOOMEY'S face and name right on the front page?

What's next - ads for Bush's book? Something praising Dick Cheney?

Sheesh!

Today is turning out to be one filled with good news....wow, I'm not used to this. Feels great! I love it when the IRS gets involved.

9. That is what I said and they should go after those
churches who are going to praise republicans this Sunday. If they are into politics they should loose the tax free status. And did you read they are investigating Rove for the same thing. He is using a tax free status for his organization that is secretly funding republican ads. Just because he got away with stuff like that when he was illegally funding and running ads during the Bush administration, someone is calling him to account now. I wish with all my heart and soul that POS absolute POS gets put away like Capone did. And with all the stuff about her not filing her own taxes and now this how is O'Donnell staying out of jail.

Look at the way the republicans are hounding Rangle and Waters. And Waters proved she did nothing wrong but the ethic committee is going after her anyway.

15. I love Maxine Waters....
she didn't do a damn thing wrong...in fact, she was very upfront about her actions at the time she was supposedly being unethical.

I hope Rove....well I'll just let Karma take care of that POS. He's worse than a POS.

She can't even fill out the paperwork required to keep her non-profit status, and she wants to write laws?

17. As an accountant I have to say that this is just flat out lazy and sloppy
I have worked for and with several non-profit and the tax requirements are next to nothing. Literally an afternoon of work at most. Often they pay their auditor to do all the work and they just review and sign it.

Once you get your 501 c3 or whatever classification your org is in you are done.

This is like not paying your rent....oh well then there is that isn't there?
