Blunt stumps southeast, while Carnahan gets boost from ex-Mizzou QB

While Republican Senate hopeful Roy Blunt rolls through southeast Missouri, Democrat Robin Carnahan will be joined by a blast from Mizzou's past in Columbia.

Both Blunt -- who enjoys a healthy lead in the polls -- and Carnahan -- whose stump appearances finally include other Missouri Democrats -- appear past the point of campaigning, focusing instead on making sure those that they know are supporting them are excited about Tuesday's vote.

Blunt, who, like Carnahan, has been touring the state by bus the last week of the campaign, was in tiny Willow Springs, Mo. -- an hour or so from the Arkansas border -- this morning, where he was joined by U.S. Rep Jo Ann Emerson.
