Wisconsin's Feingold loses Senate re-election bid, NBC projects

WASHINGTON | Tue Nov 2, 2010 10:39pm EDT

Nov 2 (Reuters) - Three-term U.S. Senator Russ Feingold lost his re-election bid in Wisconsin on Tuesday to Republican Ron Johnson, the NBC TV network projected, adding another seat to Republican gains in the chamber.

Feingold, one of the most liberal members of the Senate, had trailed much of the race. He was challenged by Johnson, a businessman, over his support for President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul, and over government spending.

Johnson's win will help Republicans narrow the Democrats' majority in the Senate and could foreshadow trouble for Obama in in his 2012 re-election bid after he won the state in 2008. (Reporting by Jeremy Pelofsky; Editing by Frances Kerry)

these voters are the same breed that wheeled the wooden horse into Troy.

some of us would give our eyeteeth - to have Feingold as our Senator.

20. Chuckie Scummer and the N. Y. Elite
Who want to ban guns are responsible for this--- also Nancy Pelosi and her ilk

I saw her so much on TV here I thought she was running for something here

But the biggest thing up north in this election in Wisconsin was this

http://politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2010/oct/24/scott-walker/scott-walker-says-dnr-has-mismanaged-states-deer-h/

Population of Wisconsin 2009 estimate = 5,654,774

Number of Wisconsin hunters: Licensed resident deer hunters were 800,372 in 2009, according to the DNR. That’s down 1,513 from the year before. But the number is up from 2005, when it was 780,719.

Almost 30% of the electorate here is a powerful swing vote

A lot of these people are democrats-- they see Pelosi and Scummer taking away their guns and their freedom

They also hate Lazy Black Crack dealers from Milwaukee who drive around in expensive cars with fat bleached blonde white women in tow

Female deer hunters hate these Blonde Fatties even more

22. The real overarching factor is plain old racism/bigotry-it works especially when funded by Milwaukee
home of The Bradley Foundation and still the most physically racially segregated City in the Midwest, saigon68 where our new Governor is from...

17. Yes. Feingold was behind in polling for a good while.
Last night was, IMO, anti-incumbent, more than a statement about any individual Dem. Feingold lost, but so did Lincoln--and she almost lost her primary, too.
