Clyburn: Palin 'intellectually' incapable of understanding Arizona shootings

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's first spoken words on the shootings in Tucson, Ariz. -- a lengthy denunciation of both violence and pundits who are "manufacturing a blood libel" -- was more an effort in media critique than post-tragedy reconciliation.

And in the immediate aftermath, the reaction to it was a bit of incredulity, shock or simple confusion. Assistant House Minority Leader James Clyburn (D-S.C.) became one of the first lawmakers to weigh in Wednesday morning.

"You know, Sarah Palin just can't seem to get it, on any front. I think that she's an attractive person, she is articulate," Clyburn said on Bill Press' radio show. "But I think intellectually, she seems not to be able to understand what's going on here."

1. She thinks the shooting was about her, not the people who were shot?
That is the saddest part.

2. We need to ignore her and she will go away!!!!!
She just another conservative simpleton who preaches "personal responsibility" while actively shirking her own. Why can't Fox-heads SEE this hypocrisy?? THAT'S what makes me the saddest of all; that so many people follow this garbage blindly.

3. And did Giffords bring it upon herself for daring to criticize Sarah
about the gun scopes and the "don't retreat, reload" comment?

That is what stupid Sarah said in her video.

Sarah can't take responsibility for her actions. Sarah might as well have been holding steady the gun Loughner used to murder.

We are all influenced by corporate media, even those with unstable personalities. If we weren't, then there would be no commercial ads.

she is taken seriously by so many. Speaks to the low intelligence level and poor character of one hell of a lot of Americans.

5. She's an attractive person????
Maybe on a most superficial physical level but her soul is definitely not attractive in any sense of the word.

27. When I look at a picture of Sarah Palin
my first thought is that she's physically attractive but that thought is quickly followed by a distinct and almost real feeling that I'm being assailed by the worst case of body odor that I've ever encountered. Would that be a mental defense that my subconscious has set up so I can cope with any feelings of lust and bring me back to reality? Or is it that I just think she stinks real bad?

15. Whoever wrote that for her
should be fired. Why anyone pays attention to her is a WONDER.
I can't imagine anyone expecting an informed opinion from that illerate person.
The MSM is playing right into her hands and making her super wealthy.
She won't run for president in 2012, just wants to stay in the news, to get speaking fees and book deals.
Chris Matthews never let go after the election; she should have been ignored in early 2009.
It's always about her never anyone else, media gave her a complex with their, "lets see what she has to say on any subject" perversion. All she does is attact attack in her appearances, never constructive.
Bristol is trying to cash in as well, sickening.

Palin sees only what her ego allows, and sadly that ego is inflated and reflected inward.

20. No ... imo, she's unused to being held accountable in any way ... and can't believe even
this tiny bit of accountability being pushed on her!!

As for "blood libel" -- Palin understood very well what she was saying --

understands that Giffords is Jewish -- and the full intent of that myth!

It's the Medieval minded Palin who pushes for this "armed Christianity" --

and armed resistance to reason -- reason and democracy being the enemy!
