Actor-turned-evangelist Stephen Baldwin is suing Kevin Costner amid claims he was "duped" into selling shares in the Field of Dreams star's company just as BP was about to invest in the firm.

Baldwin, who starred in films such as The Usual Suspects and Posse, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Costner and his partners over an environmental water cleaning device.

The oil separators, which were unveiled by Costner during the Gulf of Mexico oil spill in last year, saw the Dances with Wolves star invited to speak before Congress.

BP invested more than £31m in the machine, dubbed the "Costner solution".

The way the article is worded, it makes it sound like he was duped into selling the shares and that, somehow, Costner knew BP would have a sudden interest in the machine. Do we know how well it performed? I remember hearing about it when it first went to the Gulf, but nothing after that.
