Magnitude 5 earthquake hits Baja California

A moderate earthquake struck Baja California on Sunday morning, with shaking felt up to San Diego. No major damages or injuries were reported, authorities said.

The magnitude 5 quake struck at 11:34 a.m. Sunday just south of Mexicali, according to The U.S. Geological Survey.

Tremors were felt in San Diego, about 120 miles west-northwest of the epicenter, according to USGS reports.

3. The big Easter 2010 quake caused our house down there to burst a hot water pipe

and flood the house. I'm going to be worried between now & until Friday night when we get there. :(

Find a neighbor with a phone and give him a key and your home phone number.
