IN WI: Capitol access denied, protesters dragged away; huge crowd outside
Source: Madison Capitol Times

10:15 a.m. — Reporters are being denied access to the Capitol. The State Patrol told a State Journal reporter the building is shut down and they're not letting anyone else in.

Four or five protesters sitting in front of the Assembly doors were dragged away, but not put under arrest, by State Patrol troopers and other officers.

Other protesters who were in the hallway leading to the doors of the Assembly left voluntarily.

I'm hearing reports and have seen twitter photos that show police have arrived at the capitol with riot gear.

15. CNN is leading with the "opportunely timed" anti-bullying conference...
Then talking about the "Muslim radicalization" talk in Congress.... Then occasionally talking about the actual story that matters. And all they keep asking is "Is anyone being taken out in handcuffs??? Is anyone being taken out in handcuffs..."

16. That's all they care about: violence and unrest. Convenient, ratings inspired journalism at its
worst.

The Fairness Doctrine HAS GOT TO BE reinstated. I'm sick of this American pravda.

10. Some are saying no one can get in because they all have to go through security first
That's where all this is coming from.

But legally, the State Assembly cannot convene until they are open to the public.

That said, "legally" has not mattered yet.

17. Have that stopped
the gopers? Nah, if they cannot get through their secret tunnels then they will probably go to Heil Walker or First General's home to complete the voting. Hey they don't need the Dems nor the 1 Indy, cause they have the power (not for long).

14. UPDATE: Capitol protesters shout 'Shame!' as police deny access
At the same link.

10:40 a.m. -- Police and protesters were struggling against each other at the Martin Luther King entrance to the Capitol, where there were about 300-400 people. As police tried to close the door, protesters were trying to keep it open, but police were successful in closing the door.

Police pulled protesters away from the door amid shouts of "Shame! Shame!" from the protesters.

29. I hope no one does anything stupid...
Like something violent...It would only work against the Union & further the unfair stereotype the Right has put on them. This crap can be reversed in time...They have to keep the public on their side I just hope they keep this in mind & no one lets their emotions get the best on them. I know I would have a very hard time controlling mine because I am very mad right now I can only imagine what those directly affected feel like!
