Edited on Sun Mar-13-11 09:22 PM by godai
They indicated there are a lot of new warnings but no new tsunamis. Seems like an overabundance of caution.

14. now they say there was an explosion -- this time Reactor 3
Edited on Sun Mar-13-11 09:42 PM by northernlights
0224: "Hydrogen blast occurs at Fukushima nuke plant's No 3 reactor" - Kyodo.0221: Urgent: Explosion at Reactor 3 - AFP.

:wtf: it appears in between the statement about the 5m drop in sea and the denial of a tsunami.

0232: Update on the explosion(s) at Reactor 3: "We believe it was a hydrogen explosion. It is not immediately known if it affected the reactor" - nuclear safety agency spokesman Ryo Miyake.

0239: The 600 people still living within 20km of the plant where the explosion(s) occurred are ordered to get inside buildings - Kyodo.

15. Tsunami warning was a false alarm
Source: Twitter

Multiple posts:

LegolasLover03‎ According to observation, the incoming tsunami seems to have been a false alarm as no signs are now detected to sea water level so far.

@cowboybibimbop: Tsunami warning was a false alarm, however another explosion is reported at No.3 at Fukushima Daiichi. Same hydrogen explosion as No.1

No link yet.

17. Dr. Sanjay Gupta is on CNN
Edited on Sun Mar-13-11 09:42 PM by qanda
They are saying the tsunami is imminent. In as soon as five minutes it is expected to arrive. I hope they are wrong and this report is right.

On Edit: They just announced that it was a false alarm. Very glad to hear that.

19. Could someone provide some context?
I can ASSU<E this has to do with Japan, and a possible aftershock, but the lack of detail is frustrating.

as most dangerous earthquakes. And I understand there have been hundreds of them?
