Abele defeats Stone for Milwaukee County exec

Chris Abele - a 44-year-old philanthropist, scion of a wealthy Boston family and political neophyte - defeated state Rep. Jeff Stone (R-Greendale) at the polls Tuesday to become the next Milwaukee County executive.

Stone conceded the race at about 10:05 p.m., saying that "unfortunately, it's not going to go our way."

for those outside Wi - Scott Walker was Milw Co executive before he was elected governor. It is not an unimportant position in Wi.
