FBI agent's gun found in restroom at Texas airport
Source: cnn

(CNN) -- A passenger using a public restroom at El Paso, Texas, International Airport found a bit of a surprise: a gun left behind by a federal agent.

The firearm was found Tuesday morning past the security checkpoints, said Terry Sharpe, the airport's operations manager.

"It was found in the sterile area," he said. "The investigation is still in place and is ongoing with the airport and the TSA."

Sharpe said the weapon was discovered in a women's restroom by a flight passenger, who notified authorities.

2. The ladies' room?
Oh, crap. Was she carrying the thing in her purse?

Or am I wrong in assuming it was a female agent?

3. Even if it was a legally carried weapon
which it most probably was, it opens up the discussion over just how secure is the TSA with all their nudi-scan technology and genital groping agents.

All you need to have is one poorly paid janitor that has been hired by a contract organization and given a really cursory "security clearance" drop a gun in a bathroom where there are (maybe?) no cameras yet. Then the batshit crazy dude getting on the plane clears security by being groped and/or nudie scanned and picks up the dropped guy in the clean area.

5. More to the point, was the agent a man or a woman...
This could get interesting.

6. The mother of a friend of mine rented a car in Seattle, threw her bags in the back seat

and was met by the Secret Service when she reached her destination. The car had been previously used as part of a security detail for a visiting vice-president, and someone had left some firearms in the trunk.

7. That reminds me of this song:
Edited on Wed Apr-06-11 01:06 PM by truthisfreedom
Artist: King Missile
Song: Detatchable Penis

Lyrics:
I woke up this morning with a bad hangover
And my penis was missing again.
This happens all the time.
It's detachable.

(background singing begins: "detachable penis" over and over)

This comes in handy a lot of the time.
I can leave it home, when I think it's gonna get me in trouble,
or I can rent it out, when I don't need it.
But now and then I go to a party, get drunk,
and the next morning I can't for the life of me
remember what I did with it.
First I looked around my apartment, and I couldn't find it.
So I called up the place where the party was,
they hadn't seen it either.
I asked them to check the medicine cabinet
'cause for some reason I leave it there sometimes
But not this time.
So I told them if it pops up to let me know.
I called a few people who were at the party,
but they were no help either.
I was starting to get desperate.
I really don't like being without my penis for too long.
It makes me feel like less of a man,
and I really hate having to sit down every time I take a leak.
After a few hours of searching the house,
and calling everyone I could think of,
I was starting to get very depressed,
so I went to the Kiev, and ate breakfast.
Then, as I walked down Second Avenue towards St. Mark's Place,
where all those people sell used books and other junk on the street,
I saw my penis lying on a blanket
next to a broken toaster oven.
Some guy was selling it.
I had to buy it off him.
He wanted twenty-two bucks, but I talked him down to seventeen.
I took it home, washed it off,
and put it back on. I was happy again. Complete.
People sometimes tell me I should get it permanently attached,
but I don't know.
Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass,
I like having a detachable penis.

(background voices continue to sing "detachable penis" for
a while, then out)

13. This proves my point on many things, like nuclear power.
Something can be deemed 100% "safe" but if humans are involved there is absolute certainty for error.

14. Those public restrooms!
There's absolutely no place to hang your purse or your gun while you tinkle.
