Sharron Angle rallies Tea Party supporters, breaks into song
Source: Las Vegas Sun

Sharron Angle channelled British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to motivate Tea Party supporters during a speech Friday to Las Vegas.

“Never, never, never, never give up,” Angle said, quoting Churchill. “It’s the beginning of a quest. We’re going to elect a different president, elect more conservatives to Congress and we’re going to send our message again and again and again.”

Angle, who is running for Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District seat, was the featured speaker at a tax day Tea Party rally outside the Grant Sawyer Federal Building. A similar rally was held in Carson City.

Supporters wore American flag T-shirts and waved anti-Obama and anti-tax signs, but they seemed more lethargic than during past tea party rallies. The crowd swelled to about 250 at the peak of the three-hour event but dropped to just more than 100 by the time Angle spoke.

Fox News has been pumping the recent Tea Party rallies, but the truth of the matter is that they are rather small even in largely right wing areas.

45. I thought she was going to try for
Ensign's seat? At least if she won - she would be marginalized in the House...I'd be really afraid if she were running for the Senate.

But then again running for the House is easier and she just could win.

3. My eyes! My ears! I've been poisoned, too. I just had to see that video.
Have no one to blame but myself.

Can you imagine how low you'd have to fall, to be the clown walking around behind this wreck as she sings along with a recording by a hillbilly, waving an oversized flag? How humiliating.

At least they weren't wearing costumes representing revolutionary war characters.d

What a wonderful gathering. A few shoppers may have glanced at them.

When will the rest of the MSM realize that the Tea Party went tepid and stale?

29. Therein lies the problem.
The mentality of most Americans does not exceed the 8th grade level. That was a study from decades ago. I have no idea how much it has changed. It must've dropped. Look at the insanity passing for political discourse... and the candidates.

5. Looks as though media now want to cool off the Teabaggers..
"Supporters wore American flag T-shirts and waved anti-Obama and anti-tax signs, but they seemed more lethargicthan during past tea party rallies. The crowd swelled to about 250 at the peak of the three-hour event but dropped to just more than 100 by the time Angle spoke."

We've been hearing and reading more and more that makes it seem as though the Tea Party is "so over," or soon will be.

I guess media is siding with the Roves of the Republicon Party in the belief that no good an come from splitting their Party.

I hate that media manipulates America so easily.

38. Did you look at the photos? That group looks to be middle aged
and younger, families, and also a few older voters. But the actual people present do not fit your framing of them as elder voters. They are Republicans, and they come in all shapes and ages.
Anyone can check out the photos at the link for 'blue hair' and the 'crowd' is so small it is possible to get a good look at who is there and who they are. They are, of course, Republicans.

43. Why are you so defensive of the diversity of the Teahadii?
Yeah, I've got two sisters (45 & 49) who THINK they believe the Teabagger BS, but this medicare flap is going to cure their fat asses once it sinks in how much it's going to cost THEM to take care of our parents and what we'd face without it.

Even if I don't get my own back because of this, the TP just lost a host of adherents.

It was just ENVY.

more than 100 by the time Angle spoke.

And from the looks of it >75% of the "crowd" are getting S.S. & Medicare ...... idiots being
used by the Koch Brothers, the insurance companies, and the republicans in cooperation
w/ a horse crap media.

Traditionally, the quest involves a perilous journey filled with hardships and all-but insurmountable obstacles. One who undertakes such a task needs extraordinary courage and determination. Occasionally, the hero fails to achieve his or her goal.
