NM ex-gov. announces 2012 presidential bid in NH
Source: Kansas City Star

Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson has announced his presidential campaign in New Hampshire, and the Republican says he has the resume needed to lead the country.

Johnson served as governor from 1995 through 2003. Before that, he started a one-person fix-it business that grew to 1,000 employees. He says he can fix the nation by asking two simple questions: What are we spending our money on? And what are we getting in return?

Johnson made his announcement Thursday morning outside the Statehouse, where his staff had to hold onto a large sign positioned behind him to keep it from blowing away in a strong wind. He'll likely face worse weather Saturday when he skis Tuckerman Ravine on New Hampshire's Mount Washington, known for its deep snow and high wind.

3. He may be just too "not fucked up enough" to get any traction with the GOP primary voters
I like Gary Johnson. He advocates legalizing pot.

7. Ho brother... Let's just toss the kid a couple of bucks
to do the job it would cost MUCH more to have a professional do. Good for the economy. Good for the entrepreneurial spirit. And when that unregulated, uninsured, unbonded kid screws up your computer or gets electrocuted trying to stick a screwdriver somewhere it doesn't belong, let's let the lawyers settle who sues whom.

And if that little girl down the street will spend hours in a dar room sewing you a jacket for a couple of bucks because her dad skipped out and her mother is dying due to lack of the care Planned Parenthood could have given her, hey, that's just good for the entrepreneurial spirit right there.

8. Not just pot, all drugs.
I saw him on an interview on Fox probably 8-10 years ago. He was advocating treating all drugs like we treat alcohol, and that is a good idea if you ask me.

I'm sure there is bad stuff about him, but I do like that about him. He may be a more of a libertarian style republican than a conservative republican.

He is also an Ironman, which is also pretty cool considering you typicall politician can't move 50 feet without being out of breath.

5. Running Government as a business...
.... has a name.

It is called Fascism.

Government is not a "what's in.... what's out" proposition.

No one can fix anything asking 2 questions. The world is complicated.

He's a hack. He will suck big time.
