San Jose Mercury NewsPG&E's top official resigned Thursday, seven months after the company's natural gas pipeline exploded in San Bruno, killing eight and destroying 38 homes.
Peter A. Darbee, chief executive officer and president of PG&E Corp., the parent company of the embattled utility, will leave the company on April 30, the company's board announced.
... There have been increasing calls for resignations of the company's leadership following revelations by the National Transportation Safety Board of sloppy record keeping and questionable safety and inspection practices of the company's natural gas pipelines.
