AKRON, Ohio (AP) - A Tennessee man has received four months in prison for threatening an Ohio congressman during last year's heated health care debate.

A federal judge in Akron, Ohio, sentenced 40-year-old James Schmidlin of Cleveland, Tenn., on Friday. Schmidlin also faces three years of probation.

He was convicted in December of making a March 2010 phone call to the office of then-U.S. Rep. John Boccieri (boh-CHEHR'-ee) threatening to burn down the northeast Ohio Democrat's house.

Prosecutors recommended 14 months in prison.

I'm not going to do a "rich privilege" statement here because these crimes are of wide severities: Lohan got convicted of misdemeanor probation violation, while this guy got convicted of threatening somebody.

2. John Boehner? Oh nvm
At first I thought that this was talking about the House Majority Leader but it was talking about a Democrat with a similar name representing another part of Ohio.

And no, trolls, making threats to other people is NOT protected free speech. Terry Jones, however, is free to say "Islam is of the devil" all he wants short of "kill all Muslims".
