Uganda anti-gay bill likely to drop death penalty

The MP behind anti-gay legislation that has been condemned worldwide said yesterday the death penalty is likely to be dropped from the bill.

David Bahati said if the committee studying the bill recommends the death penalty be removed, "I would concede."

Proposed 18 months ago, the bill attracted international condemnation, including from President Barack Obama.

Under the legislation, anyone convicted of a homosexual act would face life imprisonment.

2. Isn't that kind of them. Mr. Bahati has close ties with right wing, extreme religious cult, Cstreet

or the "family" here in America. In fact, those who head up the Cstreet/family cult, were instrumental in setting up and pushing this "kill the gays" bill from its inception. It's just the Christian, Cstreet cult, pushing their hatred of gays in a bill they initiated in Uganda. If this is what Christianity has turned into, I'm glad I escaped it's evil grasp. C-Street/Family is noting but a right wing political operation, masquerading as a religion and up until very recently, was hidden from most of us. They are very secretive, some of the most powerful people in our government are, or have been members, and their agenda is nothing short of "Evil" to impact our government with religion and attack that which they don't agree with, by initiating and helping other countries to write hate policy on their behalf since they can't do it here. Rachel Maddow was one of the first people to report on this sick, alleged Christian/Political cult and there is a great book called "The Family" that tells the whole ugly story. They're just sick.
