Sacramento loses 14,600 jobs, worst drop in any metro area Read more: Sacramento loses 14,600 jobs,
Source: Sacramento Business Journal

Seventy-seven of the nation's 100 biggest markets added jobs in March, according to a report issued Wednesday morning by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Sacramento, however, was not one of them.

In fact, Sacramento showed one of the worst drops of 100 metro markets, losing 14,600 jobs between March 2010 and March 2011.

The Sacramento metropolitan area shrank from 808,800 nonfarm jobs in March 2010 to 794,200 in the same month this year. The resulting decrease of jobs ranked Sacramento last in terms of job loss, followed only by Memphis, which lost 7,500 jobs in a year.

1. Everythings getting better folks, move along, nothing to see here. More collateral damage from the
Republicon obstruction and rule. Have we had enough yet, or will it take the end of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security before we all stop talking and ranting?

2. My Hometown!

I was eight years old and running with a dime in my hand
Into the bus stop to pick up a paper for my old man
I'd sit on his lap in that big old Buick and steer as we drove through town
He'd tousle my hair and say son take a good look around this is your hometown
This is your hometown
This is your hometown
This is your hometown

In '65 tension was running high at my high school
There was a lot of fights between the black and white
There was nothing you could do
Two cars at a light on a Saturday night in the back seat there was a gun
Words were passed in a shotgun blast
Troubled times had come to my hometown
My hometown
My hometown
My hometown

Now Main Street's whitewashed windows and vacant stores
Seems like there ain't nobody wants to come down here no more
They're closing down the textile mill across the railroad tracks
Foreman says these jobs are going boys and they ain't coming back to your hometown
Your hometown
Your hometown
Your hometown

Last night me and Kate we laid in bed
talking about getting out
Packing up our bags maybe heading south
I'm thirty-five we got a boy of our own now
Last night I sat him up behind the wheel and said son take a good look around
This is your hometown

5. Schwarzenegger's Furloughs destroyed this city, and saved the state nothing.
I watched it happen, up close. Like a goddamned lawnmower.

What an idiot Arnold turned out to be. Not necessarily dedicated to evil, but serving it nonetheless.
