President Barack Obama will visit Alabama on Friday to view the damage from deadly tornadoes, the White House said.

Obama received an update on the disaster from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and other officials. Obama has already declared that an emergency exists in Alabama, the hardest-hit of Southern states ravaged by storms this week.

4. I hope Alabama does the correct thing...
...and refuses all that big-government, socialist aid that was unfairly stolen from the job-creating wealthy people.

I hope instead they embrace all that for-profit aid from Halliburton instead.

5. Loss of life and property is just plain devastating.
These things can be focused on at a later date but right now the loss of lives and people injured is what is much more important! Shame on you!

16. Hmm.
It IS much more important... which is why fair-weather self-proclaimed "small-government conservatives" need to realize this ALL the time, not spend 99% of their time trying to cut government, then spending the other 1% of the time (after some sort of natural or man-made disaster such as an earthquake or financial meltdown) wondering where the hell the jobs, money, and emergency relief is.

11. And I've seen the Promised Land.
No phony walking w/ firemen as he rolls up his sleeves for a photo op but here is a real grown up leader reaching
out to those in need .... sometimes we forgot to say it, "But thank you Mr. President." I hope he is able to help the people.

I know the struggle is long and we may never get all the way there in my lifetime but the idea that a black man who is
President of the United State going to the deep south to help the people after a natural disaster shows that America has
come a long long way.

Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's
allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know
tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land!

Wait, that was Bushco in his toy helicopter and Brownie. Remember all the suffering New Orleans went through? At least we don't have clowns in charge for this disaster
