Carmaker Hyundai warns of serious supply disruption

Hyundai, South Korea's top carmaker, has warned of a severe production disruption, because of a shortage of engine parts.

A strike at parts supplier Yoosung Enterprise has affected production, and it could get worse on Tuesday.

1. Well, if they use the gasoline model I guess a new Hyundai will soon cost $60,000.
Wonder how many they'll sell?

2. Korean companies are overdue for labor "trouble"
Standard 55-60 hour, 6-day work weeks, low wages, unfriendly labor laws......

3. That's just the way the Korean culture is
You also have to remember, the country was in complete ruins about 57 years ago and was lead by a dictator until the 80's. Even in office jobs, people work those kinds of hours. It's not just manufacturing.

It does suck that it will affect the car industry though. Japan is having big problems of their own.
